Anita started her tuition business 3 years ago having previously being in the teaching profession. As a single mum with two teenage children at home she had many demands on her time. She started her business through a passion and personal experience of sitting the 11+ exam and the knowledge of what is required.

Anita’s first thoughts:

When I first started working with Clare, the majority of my business came through one source, which made me feel quite vulnerable. I had huge ambitions for my business, wanting to work with more families to help them feel more confident, supported, and able to pass the 11+. However, with a lack of business experience, marketing knowledge and very little structure I didn’t know where to start. Making it happen

It was important for Anita to get clarity on an initial 12-month plan, firstly what she wanted to achieve overall with her business and secondly what smaller steps she needed to implement to work towards her ambitious business plans.

To achieve her targets of attracting more clients Anita knew she needed to get more comfortable and confident with her own marketing. Clarity around what she was offering to her clients was imperative to gain a more confident marketing mindset.

Once Anita had a suite of tutoring packages, she was able to start her briefing with the web design team, knowing she had the answers to questions around layout, images, and page content.

The coaching programme is designed to support Anita in generating the answers to add into her customer journey – making the process of interacting with potential clients easier, efficient, and more effective. Resulting in smoother sales and attracting more of the children who needed her tutoring help.

The Results

Fast forward 12 months: Anita has a successful and growing business, one that she is in control of, not the other way around! Headway Tuition is attracting the right kind of enquiries and is able to handle them efficiently using the new processes, giving Anita more time to spend with her pupils and in the business. She has clear marketing strategies that she knows works every time and is no longer reliant on one source of referrals.

She is enjoying a 50% increase in her revenue and is well on her way to realising her bigger ambition of helping more children achieve the 11+.
