From feeling lost to a Business Breakthrough

Pete had come from a radio background, immersed in the world of presenting for nearly 25 years. He left to fulfil his passion of podcasting! He wanted to introduce more businesses to the benefits of podcasting. Whether it would be podcast training or full podcast production, his purpose was to be the ‘Podcast Guru’ and help support business in getting their message out to a wider audience.

Pete’s first thoughts:

I was a little bit lost as a business owner, I’d spent 30 years in the radio industry and all I knew was how to open a microphone and to be informative and or interesting. I didn’t know how to run a business. I didn’t know how to plan; I didn’t know how to market anything. My idea of being a business owner was, you tell people what you do, they come to you and get you to do it. That’s the equation surely?

Making it happen

After the initial kickstart session to discuss Pete’s business and establishing what he wanted to achieve, we decided that ‘Business Breakthrough School was the right coaching programme for him.

The Business Breakthrough School coaching programme is a mixture of online coaching one-to-one, group coaching and videos modules which catered to all the different ways that Pete likes to work. It suited Pete’s learning style and current business set up.

Working through the videos taking them at his own pace (sometimes late at night or early morning) in his own time is what he found incredibly valuable. There is a group coaching marketing clinic and Friday surgery, which helped Pete to really get to know other business owners and their pain points. Hearing of another’s successes and frustrations whilst also being given one to one attention and space to focus on business growth activities along with guidance was all he needed to move his business forward.

The Results

Before working with Clare, Pete saw himself as a radio presenter with a passion for Podcasting. Fast forward 12 months and he is now the Owner of a successful podcasting production agency. He gained the confidence to be able to operate as a business and all the moving parts, alongside the confidence to speak to clients and share his offering and the associated investment.
